FAQs
When is my RSVP due?
We invite you to RSVP online here by February 1, 2026. This will give us sufficient time to work with our Norwegian friends to adjust accommodations and restaurants accordingly.
Can I bring a date or my whole family?
We would love to celebrate with everybody, sadly our reception venue has a capacity limit, please refer to your invitation for your invited guests. Similarly, the wedding weekend will not be family-friendly, so we request that you leave the kids at home and let your hair down! We understand that you may be tacking on additional time in Europe, so we will leave to each individual to organize meeting up with others who are not attending the wedding before or after the weekend.
What will the weather be like in Lofoten?
The weather in Lofoten can be as unpredictable as it is beautiful. June in Lofoten is a marvel of 24-hour daylight, with temperatures that range from 10°C to 16°C. To fully enjoy the splendors of the islands, come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear for your activities. A waterproof jacket or a windbreaker is essential for sudden weather changes.
Weather conditions can vary significantly throughout the day, and across different parts of the archipelago, so checking the local weather forecast before and during your visit is crucial for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our dinner venues will both be indoors, however given the natural beauty of the area, we will be trying to spend as much time outside as possible. The ceremony will be outside in full exposure to the elements, rain or shine, so please bring layers and waterproof clothing - we will keep it short and sweet.
Is there a gift registry?
There is no gift registry. Thank you for thinking of us, but we will not be accepting gifts.
How will we get to the dinners and ceremony?
The Welcome Dinner at our ideal venue will be a 650m (~5-10 minute) walk from Reinefjorden Sjøhus.
The ceremony will be a ~25 minute drive, and we invite you to carpool with the other guests who rented a vehicle for the weekend.
The reception will be a held at a restaurant 11km from Reinefjorden Sjøhus (~15-20 minute drive). We will have a bus organized to pick us up from the cabins and drop us back at the end of the evening.
There are no taxis in the area of Reinefjord Sjøhus.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?
We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, and encourage you to note anything we need to know about you and your partner on the RSVP form. We will reach out to you closer to the wedding date for your meal preference for both evenings. Both will have a fish option and a meat option.
What should I do before the ceremony on Saturday?
You are welcome to use the facilities at Reinefjorden Sjøhus (saunas, hot tub, kayak & SUP rentals), or you could explore some of the beautiful fishing villages that are in the surrounding areas. We would recommend that you find somewhere for lunch ahead of the ceremony, or if you prefer, use your kitchenette in your cabin to make yourself a bite. Dinner won’t be served until ~7PM.
What should I do between the ceremony and the cocktail hour at the Big House?
We suggest that you make your way back to Reinefjorden Sjøhus to get ready for the cocktail hour. If you don’t need much time to get ready, the Reine area is your oyster!
